Fished first B.A.S.S. tournament on St. Johns River in 1975. I have been married to the same remarkable woman for the last 37 years. We have two children and five grandchildren (4 boys and 1 girl, i.e. the Queen). I have been fishing full-time for the last 5 years, both as a tournament pro and a guide on the Tennessee River system in North Alabama.
My favorite technique is fishing deep water structure but feel proficient fishing shallow water as well. Just give me 20’ of water and a football jig – I’m in heaven. I grew up fishing with my father for catfish and crappie but got the bass bug by the time I 15 years old and have continued to tournament fish ever since. Not only do I enjoy the competition but I have met and become friends with so many wonderful people along the way.
My favorite fishing partner is my 9 year old grandson. Last summer he caught a 6 ½ # largemouth on a shakey head using 8# test Quattro Fluorocarbon. I’m not sure which one of us was more excited. I’m looking forward to becoming more envolved with youth programs as he becomes older.

Top 3 HI-SEAS line and reasons why:
100% fluorocarbon- Great sensitivity, good abrasion resistance and very low memory.
Quattro Fluorocarbon- Great sensitivity and very supple, this line is great on spinning reels and for crankbaits.
